6 Tips For Morning Workout Motivation
Morning workouts are a great way to have a great day!
Working out in the morning increases productivity and creativity throughout the day making it the perfect way to start your day.
But let’s face it getting up early to sweat it out isn’t always the most appealing thing to do when you’re all tucked up in bed, that’s where my 6 top tips for morning workout motivation come in.
6 Top Tips For Morning Workout Motivation
These are things I have done to get my butt into gear and out of bed in the morning to workout but a lot of them also work for motivation to workout at any time of day or even just to get you up and energised!
Set an Alarm
The obvious idea of setting an alarm as I found out, time and time again, doesn’t always work, especially when there is a snooze button.
My top tip for you if you are a serial snoozer is to set an alarm on your phone (the more annoying the sound the better) and leave your phone out of arm’s reach.
Even better if it’s on top of your workout clothes ready to put on once you’ve jumped out of bed to reach the very annoying alarm!
If you stuggle in general with getting up in the mornings, especially before the sun is up then I highly recommend a sunrise alarm clock. Mine has honestly changed my life! I will link the one I use here.

Have your Workout Outfit ready
Take away any chances of finding excuses or get distracted and have your clothes out and ready to put on first thing in the morning.
I’ve also known people who have slept in them! I haven’t tried that one but if it helps you then go for it!
Motivational Music
Have a playlist prepared with motivational music to workout to.
I have one that I play first thing in the morning and when I workout.
My go-to feel-good song to get up to is Good Morning by Max Frost.
A Good Night Sleep
If you want to wake up feeling fuelled and ready to workout then you need to be rested, no one wants to workout feeling groggy and lethargic so get to bed!
A great morning routine starts the night before.
Hydration
Stay hydrated, especially the evening before.
No one is going to feel motivated to get up and jump around when they have a headache, so drink up and stay hydrated.
I always have a hydration tablet next to my bottle ready to go in the morning.
I feel like it gives me energy and I love the flavour. The link to the Hydration Tablets I love is here.
Have a Workout Plan or Routine Ready
Whether you plan on going for a run or doing a HIIT workout, make sure you have a plan.
This will help minimize any morning stress from having to think of what to do and will prevent procrastination.
When I’m working out at home I have a few video’s saved to a playlist on YouTube, in order and ready to go, otherwise, I end up scrolling looking for a workout for ages and never end up doing it!
